R/V Laura Bassi Voyage and Activities During Antarctic Expeditions

As logistic requirement for the maintenance of the two Italian Antarctic stations: MZS (Mario Zucchelli Station, IT) and CONCORDIA (IT-FR) Station the M/V Laura Bassi must travel 2 legs between New Zeland and MZS.

Laura Bassi Activitiues in Antyarctica can be resumed in:

  • Logistical support ad supply to MZS & Concordia
  • Supply & Support to research activities in MZS & Concordia
  • Observatory Maintenance: MORSea
  • Research Projects: Oceanography, Marine Biology, Geophysics, Atmosphere

ISOBatA had been designed to take advantage of transit time of the R/V Laura Bassi in the Antarctic region to acquire seafloor datasets, project aims are: Expedition Project Aims
